Conversation @ Chitravathi - Start of A New Chapter

The sun had just gone down. The darkness was slowly engulfing the sky. The Kulwant hall prayers had just got over. Myself and my brother were on the banks of Chitravathi looking at the photograph of our gracious lord on the other side of the river. The view was breathtaking. This place is charged with the grandeur of God. There are no bells and drums, but Swami is enlivening the atmosphere with Divinity here! Even the air sings the glory of the Lord at Chitravathi. It is a place where we could stand and drink the silence in; where you look across an absent sanctuary – No walls or roof- just a holy open space where God planted himself even before we drew our first breath.

My brother and me, on the banks of Chitravathi, were contemplating on the lord. Sometimes you meet someone, and it is so clear that the two of you on some level belong to each other – as a family, as friends, as brothers, whether you understand one another or not, you meet few people once in blue moon, out of nowhere, under strangest circumstances and they help you feel alive. I don’t know if that makes me believe in coincidence or fate or luck. But definitely - it makes me believe more in Swami.

Of all the Grace of God that is beyond mind, both of us wanted to nail down one thing - that one empirical reason for our trust, and one-pointed focus on Swami! We were devastated by the lies, selfishness, betrayals, meanness and double-crossing that humanity can do to each other. We were torn-apart to the degree of low a human soul can hit, driven by its hunger and fear!

We both were trying to connect to Swami. We spoke for hours – For hours only about Swami, about his daya, karunya, and about all that we knew about the divine master. At the end of the talk, both of us got our answers. It gave us strength - The strength to forget and forgive. The conversation reminded us of our duty – to flow and be flowing, to be at peace, to surrender. It strengthened the fact that the lord takes care of this delicate equation called life.

From the ocean, of all that noise and light, from deep within, a whisper arose from the depth of our hearts and it said thus --

Even more slippery the ground becomes, in this maze of lies!

When the white lies appear as true,

When a desert appears as a water crew,

When wrong appears right,

And right appears wrong upright!

When fakeness and genuineness always play hide and seek!

Amidst this fleeting reality of being a human meek,

In that disturbed land of the war,

There is only one cognitive solace – the absolute – Sai – near and far!

The only Truth! That does not change! His name and his words!

And that was the beginning of an altogether new chapter of my life – A point which changed my life upside down – A new start for my spiritual upliftment.
